I have compiled and installed Allegro using the universal binary option. While it compiled well and runs fine on my Mac intel, I am unable to produce any true universal binaries. After compilation, I get only intel compiled boundled applcations, thus even if I select PPC and Intel as architecture targets in Xcode. MacPuzzle is a simple early B&W puzzle game for Macintosh. It allows you to randomly create rectangular shaped puzzle canvas. You do the puzzle by clicking and drag/drop each piece where you think it should go. Both the shaded cell to its right, and the topmost group of shaded cells, will become forced L tetrominoes. This is a problem, because we can only have two L tetrominoes - so that cell must be used. Some more logic sprouts off of the same area: Look at the 2 just below-left of the center. There are only three cells that could be filled there.
Delayed Auto Shift or autorepeat refers to the behavior of most falling block puzzle games, including Tetris, when the player holds the left or right key. The game will shift the falling piece sideways, wait, and then shift it repeatedly if the player continues to hold the key.
Some games read the keys as on-off switches and implement DAS in software. Other games, especially earlier games running on home computers, rely on the automatic repeat provided by the hardware or operating system, which the user often has the ability to configure. DAS delay refers to the delay between the player holding down the direction abd the auto-shift occurring. This may also be referred to as DAS startup or simply DAS.

DAS delay is usually measured either in milliseconds or frames. It is often ambiguous as to whether the delay includes or excludes the frame in which the piece first moves and the piece at which the piece first auto-shifts.

Tactics for placing tetrominoes differ per game based on the speed of DAS and based on whether the player can load DAS during a line clear.
One space from the wall
To place a T, L, or J tetromino with its flat side one square from the side of the matrix at low gravity, it is fastest to rotate the tetromino after moving it. In bounding box based rotation systems such as SRS or its immediate predecessors, this applies to S and Z as well.

However, at fast gravity, rotation (especially initial rotation) before movement may help the player navigate pyramid structures.
In SRS for games with fast DAS, moving to the right wall then rotating uses less button presses in cases with all pieces except O. With J, L, and T, moving to the right wall, rotating and then moving once more left is faster still (two movements) than tapping three times right. With I, moving to the right wall and rotating clockwise is faster, as well as rotating counter-clockwise for the third column-- and vice versa for the left wall. In other rotation systems such as the Arika Rotation System, this technique works halfway, which some pieces can benefit from rotating after moving to the wall on the left-- others on the right.

Not Tetris 2 is a different take on the classic game of Tetris. The same gameplay applies but in this one, the tetrominoes are infused with that thing called physics.
This should be the way everyone plays Tetris
The main attraction to Not Tetris 2 is the fact that when you rotate a piece, it doesn't turn in increments of 90 degrees. No, it spins clockwise or counterclockwise according to how long you keep the keys pressed, and that spells chaos really fast.
Not having the certainty of a perfect rotation, makes it easy to panic when you play Tetris this way. It becomes a heck of a lot easier to make a mess of things and it also guarantees more fun. Moreover, there is no grid-based movement to help out, everything is on you, down to the very last move you make.
Stack tetrominoes like you stack pallets
Another nice thing about Not Tetris 2 is that the pieces, even after they hit the ground, are not fixed in place. If you manage to smash new pieces on top of already placed ones, there's a good chance that you can rearrange them by a little or a lot. Either case could result in getting some points.
A lot of the time, you won't even think it's possible to score any points due to how difficult it is to control and align pieces. But unlike in the classic game, here you won't need to create perfect lines, points come out even if the pieces are aligned by even a bit.
It even comes with a two player mode, so you and a friend can get angry
Not Tetris 2 is a great take on Tetris, and even though it's hard to play, it's worth the time. It also allows two people to play at the same time on the same keyboard to see who can come up on top.
